DIY Custom Leather Integrated Watch Band
Posted by Benjamin Grant on
This video demonstrates how to customize a standard leather strap for a watch case that has an integrated strap attachment.
In this case, the original strap for the Swiss Army case is out of production, but a soft leather strap can be cut to fit just as well.
For the purposes of this video, we simply use a razor, a new watchband, and the original watchband to mark our cuts with a fine tip sharpie.
Aesthetically, we find that simply cutting is sufficient as leather will smooth into a more natural edge after a bit of wear. However, a sharpie is a great option if the color matches, and you can even get creative with treating and burnishing if you feel it'll add to your particular watch.
Thanks for watching. Swing by our site and let us know if we can be of any help!
