There is a wide variety of watch bands available in the United States. Timex, Casio, Swiss Army, and Fossil are all manufacturers of bands. The Timex Ironman watch, one of its most popular items, comes with several choices for bands. Rubber, Velcro, nylon, and nylon-Velcro combinations straps are available for Timex Ironman Bands with sizes ranging from 12 to 20 mm . Unlike the Swiss Army bands, Timex bands may be used interchangeably. If the watch is 20mm, any watchband that fits the size can be worn. Swiss Army watches have a specific type of band that must be used on each watch. For example, a leather officer watchband will not fit a Starteck 3000 watch. Those are two of their more popular items. Casio resin watch straps are available in sizes from 14mm to 22mm and made in a limited selection of materials. Fossil Stella Analog watches are very popular with the ladies, while Fossil Mens BQ9385 black digital-analog is the male choice. No matter what watch is your choice, we stock replacement bands.

Occasionally , a different type of band is requested to change the style of the watch. Bands made of exotic leather, metal, or regular leather offer such changes. Examples of exotic leathers are crocodile, alligator, lizard, ostrich, and stingray allows for the watches to be customized to suit your preference.Regular leathers can be made of pigskin or bull skin, have patent leather and metallic leather finishes applied to them, and come in sizes from short , extra wide to extra long bands. Metal bands come in tone on tone, gold finish, stainless steel and other band styles, such as Rolex. Multifunctional watches, such as the Timex Ironman Band, receive hard use and may need replacement on a regular basis. Made of Velcro/Nylon, carbon fiber, rubber and silicone, and other materials, a suitable replacement can be found for your watch.

Before you purchase your new watch band you need to know how to measure the size you need. Measuring your watch band size is straightforward and easy. You just need to measure your current watch band where the strap meets the watch to each end. Men’s watch bands typically range from 18mm to 22 mm with larger ones ranging up to 26mm, and can come in a variety of materials such as metal, leather, rubber, silicone, suede, and others. Men’s watch bands typically range from 14mm to 188mm with larger ones ranging up to 24mm, and can also come in a variety of materials such as metal, leather, rubber, silicone, suede, and others.

To order a replacement watch band you need to determine what size of watchband fits your watch and your wrist. First you must measure the watchband strap size, which will determine how wide your band is, and second you must measure the watchband strap length. You will need a metric ruler or caliper, and an English ruler. Lay your watch face up on a flat surface and then measure the distance between the two protruding lugs (lugs are arms that the watchband connects to on the top or bottom of the watch). Measure from inside of each lug or you can also just measure the distance between the two lugs using a caliper. Remember that the measurement should be in millimeters and the result is your watch strap size. To measure your strap length you must lay both halves of the strap on the flat surface so that the ends of the watchband that normally connect to the watch lugs are touching but not overlapping. Measure the length of the entire watchband using an English ruler (and exclude the buckle). Remember that this measurement should be in inches.

When selecting the color of your watchband, you want to make sure it’s a very adaptable and versatile color. The most obvious and unassuming colors are brown and black. Black will go with virtually every color. Brown will go well with pretty much any color except black. Try to match a brown band with cooler earth tones like earthy greens, blues, and yellows.

Both men and women can benefit from buying watch bands with traditional colors like black and brown. They are professional and stylish. If you are looking for a band that’s a little bit more unique, you may consider crossing a few boundaries.

Guys: Don’t be afraid to buy a blue or red band. Depending on what you are wearing the watch with, it can be a good idea to contrast the band color with your outfit -as long as it’s done wisely and classy.

Girls: You can wear any color a guy can wear, and more. The options are virtually endless for women. Usually women’s wardrobes are more extensive and therefore having bands that go with any outfit is essential. Don’t be afraid to grab some loud colors like pink and orange, as well as the traditional colors like brown, black and dark blue.

The leather watch band not only looks better, but feels better than the alternatives. Buying a watch is a big purchase, but the band that accompanies is just as important. Most people wear their watches 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Having a band that is comfortable is of the utmost importance.

When selecting a watch, make sure to try it on. Move your wrist around and think about how the watch will feel after wearing it for hours upon hours. You want it to look good, but if it doesn’t feel good, you’ll never want to wear the watch anyway.

Leather is adjustable and reliable. As long as you keep it dry, a quality leather band will wear in nicely, and last for years.

The trend for the holidays this year is to go with thick leather bands. They accompany thick watch faces well, which are also popular this year.

One of the most underrated parts of a watch is the watchband. It is the part of the watch that determines the comfort level for the wearer, and with most people wearing their watches for twelve or more hours per day, watchband comfort becomes pretty important. Let’s compare two categories of watchbands: leather and titanium.
Leather watch bands are generally more comfortable for the wearer. Although they have a small break-in period of anywhere from a few days to a week or so, once they conform to the wearer’s wrist, they remain comfortable for the life of the band. They’re also more inexpensive than titanium bands, although they need to be replaced every few years, depending on usage. Because they wear out every few years, however, some people prefer the long life of a titanium band.

Titanium bands are the elegant workhorses of the watchband world. A quality titanium band, when properly maintained, will last longer than the wearer! Because it is such a hard metal, it resists the wear and tear that ages leather at a much quicker pace. However, many watch wearers complain about the feeling of a metal band, as they have a tendency to make the watch sit heavier, and can pinch the wearer’s skin at inopportune times.

More often than not, the watch face will determine whether or not, style-wise, the watch should have either a leather or a metal band. But if the choice is yours, choose leather for comfort, and titanium for long-lasting durability.

Would you continue to drive to wear your favorite pair of shoes if the soles were completely worn through? Or would you keep a pair of gloves around that had holes in all of the fingers? Then why keep wearing a watch with a tired old watchband?

As watchbands age, they not only look older, they can actually weaken to the point of failure. Whether your watch has a leather or metal band, each of these can weaken in specific ways. Leather will begin to crack over time, eventually wearing thin and breaking. And the connecting links in a metal watchband will degrade over time until they, too, can break. And what would be worse that watching your watchband break while you’re high atop a building or overlook and seeing your watch fall away?

You can avoid scenarios like this by simply changing your watchband once it shows signs of aging. In a leather band, look for cracks or tears. In a metal band, look for missing pieces and telltale signs of wear. Replacement bands are relatively inexpensive, especially when compared to the cost of replacing an entire watch!

And perhaps the biggest side benefit? The beauty of a shiny new band to compliment your watch. It’s well worth the investment!
